Life is really a combination of success and failure. However, these two perception of life really comes true or significant where there is someone, that special person in your life to share your victory or defeat. Finding that special "someone" however, can be very difficult to find as literally devoting yourself to them, matters a lot. Marriage is really something special since it allows to bring two souls together and unite them as one. Love and arranged marriages are present and common in many families all across the world. The general idea of a love marriage is that two individuals chose to be together without the involvement of other people, where as arranged marriage on the other hand is the entire involvement of two families to bring two individuals together. Many people have different views on these types of marriage and it is very difficult to choose which one is better. However, in my opinion, that the system of arranged marriage is considered to be more successful than love marriages for various reasons.
One main reason to why I strongly support the idea of arranged marriage, is the better understanding of life style and religion between the couple. The parents involved in the marriage have thorough experience when it comes to judging a person which helps the marriage successful. Parents try to choose the best suitable partner by matching a list of their desired qualifications for their son or daughter that comes from the same religious background, same culture and class. This creates a mutual understanding between the two individuals. Since both parents that are involved in the marriage, they come from the same lifestyle which makes the relationship between the two families itself, much stronger. Also, due to the fact that both individuals come from the same belief system of their religion, their actions and accomplishments will be the same. Thus, developing a sustainable relationship.
Furthermore, the sense of equality is highly evitable in arranged marriage. The virtue of equality is extremely important in a relationship as it develops the relationship in the right direction. In fact, equality is the major element that makes a relationship alive in arranged marriages. In the process of choosing a partner, parents find one that suit each other well in terms of education, compatibility and even religion. Arranged marriages in fact, reduce a lot of afflictions. When a boy and girl are aware that they will get married in an arranged manner, they do not worry about find a partner on their own. Instead, they use this energy on a purposeful enterprise, such as their education. This way, both individuals will be able to use their sense of skills and talent to nurture the relationship with their family and therefore, problems are mutually solved and also, the relationship is also empowered from its deep roots.
Lastly, another reason why I strongly believe in arranged marriages is the stronger commitment between the married couple. Although for most arranged marriages, love maybe placed second place, commitment however is placed number one. The newly married couple take the ultimate responsibility of each other to be together no matter what and stay committed. In the stages of their lives when there are mature and about to get married, they are taught by their parents on how to make wise decisions and the importance of commitment in a marriage. With their constant guidelines, many hindu married couples make mutual decisions that benefit not only their relationship together, but their families as well. Once the newly weds develop a stronger bond between the two, they learn how to make compromises in order to lead a happy and loving relationship.
In conclusion, there are two sets of marriages and people have their own personal opinions about them. Although I am aware that there are downfalls to the system of arranged marriages, I personally believe that this marriage in particular are more successful than love marriages due to the fact that there is a sense of equality, family support and stronger commitments. I am also aware that there are negative and positive aspects to both types of marriages, life can still be amazing with your partner with a sense of mutual understanding, respect, shared values and most of all, love.
